Cyber Monday 2025 is capping off a month-long wave of Black Friday promotions, with retailers leaning into extended “Cyber Week” calendars and aggressive online discounts. U.S. shoppers are expected to spend a record $14.2 billion online today, a 6.3% jump from last year, according to Adobe Analytics, building on the $11.8 billion rung up on Black Friday itself.

Major big-box chains are still anchoring the shopping frenzy. Walmart shifted from in-store doorbusters to an online-only Cyber Monday, following two earlier Black Friday events. Walmart+ members received early access to today’s deals Sunday evening, with the full sale opening to all shoppers just after midnight, mirroring the retailer’s push to reward subscribers while keeping discounts broadly visible.

At Amazon, Cyber Monday is framed as a last-chance extension of the company’s Black Friday pricing. Fresh roundups highlight deep cuts on tech and home brands like Dyson, Beats, Shark, LEGO and more, reinforcing Amazon’s strategy of rotating spotlight deals rather than ending promotions abruptly after the weekend.

Electronics and home gadgets remain core to the Cyber Monday storyline. Live coverage of the “best Cyber Monday 2025 deals” points to robot vacuums, cordless vacs and smart home security bundles hitting their lowest recorded prices on Amazon, including steep percentage drops on Shark and Dyson cleaners, Blink doorbell and camera sets, and Bose QuietComfort headphones. Those categories, along with apparel and furniture, are expected to make up more than half of today’s online spend.

Apparel and fashion are also riding the extended Black Friday wave. Coverage of clothing promotions notes that many brands have simply rebranded ongoing Black Friday markdowns as Cyber Monday sales, especially at athletic labels and department stores, blurring the line between the two events and keeping consumers in deal-hunting mode across the entire weekend.

Beyond the big platforms, niche offers are drawing attention. Wayfair’s Cyber Monday spotlight on Blackstone outdoor griddles, including a 4-burner model marked down by about $150, underlines how category-specific promos are competing with mainstream tech deals for clicks.

Driving all of this is a shift in how people find bargains: Adobe estimates a roughly 670% surge in AI-driven traffic to retail sites versus 2024, as shoppers increasingly rely on recommendation tools and chat-style assistants to surface the best Black Friday–Cyber Monday prices in real time. Retailers from Walmart to Amazon are betting that this AI-fueled discovery layer will keep carts full long after the holiday weekend banners come down.
